Overview
Saïd Business School is seeking an exceptional Head of Global Industry to lead employer engagement and career development strategy across a diverse portfolio of global industries. Reporting to the Director of Career Development, this senior role is central to strengthening the School's relationships with leading global employers, enhancing student career outcomes and positioning Oxford as a top talent destination for industry. You will work at the intersection of business development, talent strategy and education‑building partnerships with world‑class organisations while shaping the future careers of our students and alumni.
Responsibilities
* Lead and grow strategic relationships with global employers across sectors such as Technology, Consumer, FMCG, Energy, Healthcare and Industrials.
* Facilitate employer access to Oxford talent through events, job postings and engagement initiatives.
* Co‑design and deliver innovative career development programmes aligned with market needs.
* Deliver workshops, presentations and one‑to‑one coaching to postgraduate students and alumni.
* Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Employer Engagement Managers, Career Coaches and a Business Development Executive.
Qualifications
You will bring strong business development experience gained within a business school, university or commercial environment, alongside a solid understanding of key global industries and graduate recruitment practices. You will have experience in career coaching, talent development or recruitment, with the ability to design and deliver impactful programmes for individuals and groups. The role requires proven experience working within or leading teams, strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Grade 9: £56,623 – £65,336 per annum including the Oxford University Weighting of £1,730 per annum.
