SUMMARY OF ROLE Reporting to the Managing Director and the Contracts Manager you will assist the Build Team with the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects.Responsibilities include assisting with project planning and coordinating, procurement, quality control, health & safety, site set up and Build admin. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project Planning & Management: Assisting in the planning, coordinating and management ofmultiple projects. Support Project Teams: Assisting with scheduling, resource allocation, preparing and maintaining project documentation reports and logs. Monitor project progress: identify potential issues and help implement solutions. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clearcommunication. Procurement: Assisting with the procurement of materials and services, including assisting managing contracts and appointments. Quality Control: Ensuring work is completed to the required standards and specifications. Health & Safety: Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment on site, including conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulations, quality standards, andcontractual requirements. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Maintaining clear communication with clients,contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Reporting & Documentation: Preparing reports, maintaining records, and contributing to project documentation. ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES Strong communication and interpersonal skills:Effective communication is crucial for interacting with various stakeholders. Organizational and time management skills:The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential. Problem-solving and analytical skills:Construction projects often present challenges that require creative solutions. Teamwork and leadership skills:The ability to work effectively within a team and potentially lead others. Computer Literate: as a high proportion of communication will be via the companys computer system. Health & Safety: Aware of Site Health & Safety Requirements You must have a full, clean UK driving licence and have transport as you will be required to visit various sites. DESIRABLE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES A Degree/NVQ in construction or project management At least two years working in a construction environment Strong interest in construction processes and project management Proficiency in relevant software and tools:Knowledge of project management software, CAD, and other relevant tools is beneficial. Knowledge of construction processes and regulations:Understanding the technical aspects of construction.
