On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Tooling & Operations Support Specialist on an initial 12-month contract. This role sits at the heart of a busy manufacturing environment, supporting production with tooling control, calibration coordination, and lineside operational support.

Role: Tooling & Operations Support Specialist
Pay: £28.09 per hour via umbrella
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, 12 Months contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

Control and manage cutting tool stock levels and regrind processes
Control and manage consumables & chemical & stock levels.
Manage all calibrated tooling ensuring compliance.
Acting as an interface between calibration & operations.
Raising Purchase orders for all tooling and maintenance requirements
Lineside support for production enabling blockers & support.
Liaising with facilities, maintenance dept to ensure adherence to agreed SLA's and delivery requirements and enable new requests
Support CAPEX, Rate Ramp Up, and facility improvement projects.
Lead involvement scheme projects.
Support with EHS topics.
Essential Skills & Education

Self-starter with strong initiative, capable of working independently and "hitting the ground running" in a fast-paced operational environment.
Motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently with production teams, maintenance, facilities, calibration providers, and suppliers.
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stock processes simultaneously.
Proven ability to work within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally with exposure to tooling, consumables, or maintenance operations.
Strong understanding of tooling processes, calibrated equipment, and stock management procedures.
Comfortable acting as a key interface between departments, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
