Job Description
This Financial Controller position will involve:Core Finance Ownership
3. Produce monthly management accounts and take all financial data to trial balance.
4. Lead cash flow forecasting and scenario modelling.
5. Manage P&L accuracy, investigate historic data and identify leakage or margin erosion.
6. Ensure accurate reconciliations, financial controls, and process improvements.
Business Partnering & Strategy
7. Work directly with owner to support strategic decision making.
8. Provide insights on profitability, operational efficiency, and growth opportunities.
9. Play a key role in shaping the business's US growth strategy and navigating challenges such as tariff‑related impacts.
Stock & Operational Finance
10. Partner with the Operations Manager to embed stronger systems and processes.
11. Oversee stock valuation, reconciliation, and inventory controls.
12. Support operational initiatives around logistics, forecasting, and supply chain efficiency.
Team & Leadership
13. Line manage and develop an apprentice.
14. Lay the foundations for a finance function and future team building.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Controller should be:
