We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Deli Manager to lead our deli, deepen relationships with local suppliers and farmers, and engage with the community through food. This is a unique opportunity for someone who knows their local food scene, enjoys supporting independent producers, and wants to create a deli experience that reflects the very best of the local area.
What you’ll be doing
1. Leading the day-to-day running of the deli
2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with local farmers, producers, and artisan suppliers
3. Managing ordering, stock control, margins, and waste
4. Ensuring excellent food safety, hygiene, and legal compliance standards
5. Leading, training, and developing the deli team
6. Delivering knowledgeable, friendly service and advice to customers about locally sourced produce
What we’re looking for
7. Previous experience managing a delicatessen or farm shop
8. Strong knowledge of the local food market and artisan producers
9. Confidence working with fresh, seasonal, and specialist products
10. A hands-on, organised, and commercially aware approach
11. Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for food provenance and sustainability
12. A warm, professional leadership style with a strong community mindset
