Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Transport Planner or Assistant Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning team in Exeter. You will work across modes to support the development of transport schemes and projects from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to a variety of projects and proposals, providing technical and commercial inputs and delivering high quality outputs in line with client requirements.
* Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, collaborating with other WSP service lines to deliver large multi‑disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
* Play a supporting role in securing and delivering work for our large local client portfolio.
* Contribute to the financial performance of your projects and the commercial performance of our team.
* Make an active contribution to WSP's four key pillars: People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in transport and mobility planning and design, and transport data analysis.
* Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
* Experience working with the development planning sector.
* Understanding of project management skills developed across a range of transport and multi‑disciplinary projects.
* Creative, innovative mindset, lateral thinker.
