Position overview:
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Business Development Manager responsible for expanding our business with new and existing customers. The role involves identifying opportunities through customer needs and product knowledge to support increased sales and customer expansion. The goal is to drive sustainable growth by building strong client relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record from concept to production and a thorough understanding of related activities.
This role reports to the UK Sales Director.
Key responsibilities include:
* Aligning with company growth and profitability objectives and striving to exceed them.
* Supporting marketing, eBusiness, and customer growth activities through insights on customer needs and market demand.
* Collaborating with international BD and marketing teams to share best practices.
* Developing new customer accounts and expanding existing ones to meet sales and profit targets.
* Identifying and developing new market opportunities.
* Supporting team efforts and promoting Optimas’ value proposition within the UK.
* Building strategic relationships and staying informed of market changes and competitor activities.
* Negotiating and closing deals with support from the Commercial team.
* Maintaining and updating business development databases and following up on leads.
* Visiting customers and adhering to company procedures and quality standards.
