Job Title: Welder/Fabricator Location: Leeds Salary: Up to £45,000 - £50,000 Shift Pattern: Days Job Type: Permanent About the Role We are looking for a skilled HGV Welder/Fabricator to join our busy workshop team. You’ll be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical ability, precision, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, and modifications on HGVs, trailers, and plant equipment. Repair damaged bodywork, chassis, and structural components. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Work with various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. Use cutting, grinding, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with health & safety regulations. Assist with general workshop duties when required.Requirements Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, ideally within the HGV, automotive, or heavy plant industry. Strong knowledge of MIG welding (TIG experience an advantage). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good understanding of health and safety practices.
