About the Role:
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Data Exploitation Engineer to support new business opportunities and existing product platforms, mainly fixed and rotor wing aircraft.
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,100 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including new capabilities like the E-7 AEW&C and the P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Autonomous Systems, C4ISR Services, Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services. We are in a growth phase.
Boeing Defence UK engineering operates a matrix organization consisting of departments delivering technical skills, expertise, and products into our programs. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department, which includes:
* Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
* Reliability and Maintainability
* Logistic Support Analysis
* Engineering Data Exploitation
* Obsolescence Management
* Technical Publications
* Integrated Logistic Support Engineering

As a Data Exploitation Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to support and review fleet data analysis, drive digital data exploitation, and develop core capabilities to identify and implement data-driven enhancements that improve business and program performance. You will report to the DE Team Lead and BDUK Support Engineering Manager, with technical support from other specialists within the department.
In your role, you will:
* Utilize aircraft fleet data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making and enhance operational performance
* Work closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and project consistency
* Set, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for DE activities to measure progress and success
* Drive continuous improvement in data exploitation processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
Beyond your technical work, you may support company initiatives such as quality improvements, promoting a safety culture, inclusion, mentoring, STEM outreach, and other focus projects to support growth.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
The preferred candidate will have most of the following, with some considered essential:
* Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
* Data Proficiency: Experienced in working with data and software, with advanced skills in data analysis, modeling, and calculations.
* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, including creating dashboards.
* Data Environment: Comfortable working in a data-centric environment, using analytics for decision-making.
* Aircraft Maintenance Experience: Desirable but not required.
* Defence Background: Preferred but not essential.
* Effective Communicator: Strong communication skills with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
* Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Familiar with how Data Exploitation integrates with R&M, Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS, and Asset Management.
* Commitment to Quality: Proven ability to deliver high-quality results.
