And where we craft extraordinary ice cream experiences - transforming ordinary moments into lasting memories.​ Because we know, life tastes better with ice cream.​ Senior Process Engineer Job Description Job title: Senior Process Engineer Department: Supply Chain Manufacturing Reporting line: Factory Continuous Improvement Manager Education and background: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Chemical degree with FMCG manufacturing background • Packaging: mechanical, electrical, robotics • Processing – product technology knowledge The Senior Process Engineer is required to support Manufacturing teams by focusing on technical elimination of losses and waste on the production line including, but not limited to: • Minor stoppage reduction • Changeover time reduction • Elimination of RPM waste • Line capability improvement and variability reduction • Support of digital related projects • Other NVAA reduction activities · Collaborating with PD pillar to provide training to engineering technicians, focused technicians and junior process engineers The Senior Process Engineer is involved in continuous improvements from the engineer’s viewpoint, responsible for solving chronic problems, reducing NVAA, developing standards, and driving productivity while granting quality and safety. The Senior Process Engineer also leads coordination of the deployment of digital activities in the factories. The focus will be on enabling our manufacturing sites to deploy appropriate, standardized technologies and ensure consistency in deployment and associated benefit delivery. Main Job Purpose: The Senior Process Engineer role is critical to the development of our factories to World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. The successful candidate will apply extensively the full range of Focused Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Business priority and Cost Deployment, Autonomous maintenance, Customer Service and Agility, to deliver hard savings. Working directly with the line crews daily, the Senior Process Engineer also acts as the technical trainer for line teams and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of countermeasures. The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the validation of all process improvements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line. The role will collaborate with Customer Service and Agility team regarding to OR (Foundation Tier) and site DBNR improvement (Advanced Tier). The Senior Process Engineer should identify and suggest automation solutions to attack certain losses or participate in a factory automation projects. The Senior Process Engineer scope covers all areas of operations, and responsibilities are aligned with the 5 year priorities as outlined in factory masterplan. This role is responsible for large and complex projects around loss elimination, systematic centerlining, process control strategy, Early Equipment and Early Product failure-modes front-loading. The Senior Process Engineer coaches and mentors the Process Engineers and manufacturing cell teams, and progressively improves the factory routines to embed Plan-Do-Check-Act cycles. In the absence of the Continuous Improvement Manager, this role will oversee team responsibilities and ensure continuous delivery of objectives. Key Deliverables: • Eliminate Waste and Loss according to the ICMS prioritization process using BPCD, FI, AM, PM, Q, PD pillar tools and methodologies; Delivering hard savings. • Create Technical Standards to ensure process stability on the line; • Run to Standard (R2S) implementation: (Data collection and analysis,, Problem solving, SMED, AM activities definition and machine settings (Centerlines or Process parameters definition); •Upskilling/reskilling line crews/Process engineers on technical standards and restoration of basic conditions (Stability sustainability); • Identify and extend good practice to other lines; • Provide inputs of EEM pillar – MP data • Factory OR and DBNR improvement; • NVAA reduction; • Application and accuracy of MMP Code and Waste Playbook Key Skills and Competencies • 5 years’ experience in FMCG is a must · Bachelor’s degree in engineering is essential (preferably mechanical or Mechatronics) · Business acumen and financial tools, understanding of the Master plan, factory priorities and how manufacturing performance of the site correlates with its finance KPIs and BGs targets achievement. • Manufacturing & Packaging technology. Rely on basic but consistent understanding of the manufacturing technologies of the Category to drive relevant process Improvement. • Engineering. Apply technical engineering skills (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, others) to do practical problem solving. • Technical drawings, drawing programs, 3d modelling, etc; • Analytical capability, data analytics and visualization, statistics, programming to collect and analyze complex data to penetrate problems’ phenomena and understand root causes. • Process Design and manpower optimization, including NVAA reduction technics. Leverage technical knowledge and a systems approach to ensure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced (e.g. manpower ratios are efficient and sustainable). • ICMS. Apply the full set of ICMS methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures and validate their effectiveness, mastery of FI, AM, PM, Q, EEM and PD methods and tools. Establish standards to support line operators sustain new basic conditions. • Project management, FMEA and Critical Path Analysis • Bias for Action. By providing consistent and near real time information, decisions can be taken quickly which leverage our resources. • Talent Catalyst.
