Reception Teacher – October 2025 Start

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (until the end of the academic year)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Reception Teacher to join a warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Birkenhead. This full-time post will begin in October 2025 and continue until the end of the academic year, providing maternity cover.
About the Role
As Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will inspire and motivate pupils, supporting them in developing the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need at the beginning of their educational journey.
Familiarity with the Read Write Inc. Phonics Scheme and 2Simple assessment software would be advantageous, though not essential. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) keen to develop their practice. As pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are expected to join the new cohort, prior experience of supporting children with additional needs will be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
