$30.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Commitment: 10–20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
* Contribute to open‑source Python repositories used by leading AI and data teams.
* Design, implement, and optimize backend systems in Python for scalability and maintainability.
* Collaborate asynchronously with global contributors using GitHub workflows (issues, PRs, code review).
* Ensure code quality with automated testing and documentation.
* Drive best practices for modularity, type safety, and performance.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
* Active and regular contributor to open‑source repositories (verified via GitHub).
* Strong understanding of software design principles and backend architecture.
* Familiarity with modern development tools (pytest, black, flake8, Docker, GitHub Actions).
* Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
