You work as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) and have experience dealing with mentally disordered offenders. You possess excellent leadership and supervisory skills and are capable of working within a multi-agency partnership to identify and meet the varied needs of service users. What the Job Involves This role requires you to work as an AMHP within the Adult Social Work Mental Health Team, participating in the AMHP rota to undertake Mental Health Act Assessments. You will be responsible for assessing the social care needs of mentally disordered offenders, developing support plans, and collaborating with various partners to provide well-rounded care. The job includes providing professional and technical advice, managing a social work caseload, participating in team planning, chairing professional meetings, producing court reports, and more. Additionally, you will provide professional supervision and mentorship to other social workers, support service planning and improvement efforts, manage financial resources effectively, and ensure compliance with corporate and legislative standards.
