Axcis Education are working closely with a Preston based school which caters for 11 - 16 year olds who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school are looking for an experienced sports coach who is looking to transfer their skills, into an education setting. The school is based on the outskirts of Preston but has close links to public transport and has plenty of on site parking. The school is Ofsted judged as "good" and caters for students who struggle to remain in mainstream education. The pupils are predominantly male, aged between 11 - 16 and have a range of additional needs including; SEMH difficulties, autism, ADHD, MLD and many do display some challenging behaviours. The role, will start after the October half-term on a full time basis and school hours are 830am - 315pm Monday - Friday. The role will require you to support in a range of lessons, but primarily PE and outdoor education lessons where you may be expected to lead small groups. When you're not in a sports lesson, you will be expected to assist students with their learning in other subjects. Pay for this role starts at £90 per day PAYE and candidates applying for this role must be confident in working with children who can be challenging in their behaviours.
