Job Description:
The Health and Safety Manager role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with chemical regulations and HSE standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Implementing, monitoring, and improving all business processes related to Chemical and HSE compliance.
* Managing DSEAR Assessments and audits.
* Managing REACH Compliance and maintenance of the system.
* Managing COSHH Compliance and maintenance of the Management system.
* Assisting environmental compliance (waste management permits etc).
* Assisting in preparation and distribution of environmental reports.
* Site assessments and internal auditing.
* Participating in activities related to achieving and maintaining ISO standards.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in compliance within a chemical setting (DSEAR, REACH, COSHH experience).
* NEBOSH qualified is desirable as this role includes aspects of HSE compliance.
* IEMA qualified auditor, experience auditing to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
* Experience in chemical regs/compliance within a manufacturing company.

Other Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be based near Sheffield, easily commutable from surrounding areas. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A NEBOSH qualification and IEMA certification are highly desirable.
