If so, we are delighted to offer this brand new opportunity for a National Business Development Manager/ Key Accounts to join a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of lighting and KBB products at exciting period of growth in the UK market.

The Role
The Company is seeking a highly motivated salesperson with a true hunter mentality to join their team. In this role, you will focus on generating new business across the Manufacturing, Contracts, and retail DIY sectors while also managing and developing a select portfolio of existing key accounts within the KBB industry. You’ll ensure these customers receive exceptional service, build strong relationships, and proactively identify opportunities to grow their business.
Reporting to: Sales Director
Main Objectives of the role:
* Drive new business growth, with the role focused on approximately 80% new business development and 20% management of existing accounts.
* Proactively engage customers to generate new opportunities, follow up on quotations, introduce new products, and identify areas for account growth.
* Confidently open doors, secure appointments, and build a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
* Accurately record activity, track opportunities, and monitor account performance using CRM and Management Information (MI) systems.
* Work collaboratively with the Sales Team and Head Office to achieve shared objectives and deliver a high standard of customer service.
The Candidate
This role will suit someone who thrives in an autonomous role where a high level product and customer expertise are required to successfully grow and develop business.
Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience within the KBB industry is essential
* A confident, friendly, and proactive approach, with a strong “can-do” attitude and proven relationship-building skills
* Experience using CRM and Management Information tools to manage customer data and monitor sales performance
* Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Naturally positive, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly with customers and colleagues
* Experience within the lighting industry would be advantageous but is not essential
