We’re on the lookout for an Investment Operations Analyst to join our busy Asset Servicing Team. You will primarily be working in the Corporate Actions Team and the role will encompass the full Corporate Action cycle on the platform. This will involve notifying clients of upcoming events, submitting client elections and updating the platform accordingly whether that be static data or on individual client accounts. Integral to this role is organisation and attention to detail. This means being a pro at managing daily tasks assigned to you and supporting the team in a variety of investment operations functions. Every day you’ll manage your assigned tasks, ensuring actions are dealt with within agreed timeframes, enabling our advisers to get the best outcome for their clients.
You’ll spend your time:
1. Ensuring corporate action processing is executed accurately and timely in line with our agreed processes
2. Monitoring for ongoing corporate action updates and chasing where necessary
3. Managing internal and external queries, across multiple channels
4. Liaising with Fund Managers & Brokers
5. Reconciliation of corporate action events
6. Checking peers work
7. Supporting the investment operations team across the investment lifecylce, from asset onboarding through the trading process and corporate actions as required.
8. Updating procedures & controls
9. Sharing your knowledge across the platform operations team and wider business
10. Building and maintain third-party relationships, ensuring we get the best from our suppliers and our clients are at the heart of everything you do
A bit about you
Your friends would probably describe you as the “super-organised” one, ridiculously well planned and someone who takes time to really understand people and their needs. You’re the type of person who asks great questions to understand expectations but can react like lightening to solve problems as they occur.
We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but we’d really like you to have/be:
11. Previous experience in the financial services industry and ideally working with a wrap platform
12. Understanding of the trading process, from execution through to settlement and reconciliation.
13. Knowledge of different asset classes and impact to operational processes
14. Excellent relationship building skills
15. Able to prioritise the high impact work, but never neglect the details
16. Excellent communication skills – We need you to be completely comfortable representing our culture and values, with an emphasis on a speedy, friendly style
17. Able to anticipate the needs of those you work with, juggling conflicting priorities
18. The ability to think laterally and come up with new solutions to old problems
19. Helping people makes you happy
