About the role
We’re looking for a Technical Manager to lead the review, redesign and ongoing management of our Quality Management System (QMS). You’ll make sure our technical policies, procedures and documents are clear, consistent, compliant, and easy to use across the business.
This is a fixed-term role for 9 months focused on simplifying processes, improving how we work, and making sure we meet legal and audit requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the full redesign and implementation of the QMSCreate a clear structure for policies, procedures, guidance and templatesRewrite and maintain technical policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Ensure all documentation is simple, consistent, and aligned to legal and audit standardsPut strong document control in place (version control, approvals and review cycles)Make sure the QMS supports due diligence and compliance requirementsAlign systems to recognised standards ( BRCGS principles)Embed QMS into key business processes (product lifecycle, supplier management, incidents/recalls)Improve ways of working by removing duplication and closing gapsEnsure the business is always audit readyTrack performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvementWork with senior stakeholders to embed changes and new ways of workingProvide training and guidance to ensure consistent adoptionYou will need
Essential:
Strong background in food technical or compliance rolesExperience creating or improving QMS, policies or proceduresGood understanding of food law and compliance requirementsStrong process improvement and problem solving skillsAbility to turn complex information into clear, practical processesDesirable:
Experience working with audit standards ( BRCGS)Background in wholesale or high volume product environmentsExperience with specification or compliance systemsWhat's in it for you
