Join our Account Collection Team
You will be part of a large, dynamic Account Collections team within the Softcat Finance Department. The team is responsible for mitigating payment and cash risk to the business by chasing and collecting payment of invoices owed to Softcat. The team also contributes innovatively to achieve resolution for account queries, ensuring a smooth order process from point of sale to payment received.

Reporting to the Account Collections Deputy Manager, you will manage nine team members with varying levels of experience and capability, from Account Collections Executives to Account Collections Specialists. You will provide general support to the Deputy Manager and Manager, along with cross-team support for your peers.
As Accounts Collection Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:
* Training and developing new team members while also providing support to 8 direct reports.
* Assisting with reporting requirements.
* Adhering to company processes for team management, such as managing sickness.
* Managing and monitoring individual performance, implementing and monitoring KPIs during performance improvement processes, including having challenging conversations.
* Managing the team rota and office attendance.
* Handling approvals – letter cycles, refunds, cross-currency transactions, etc.
We'd love you to have
* Strong People Management experience with a passion for leading and developing a team of diverse experience levels.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across different personalities and departments.
* Self-motivated to improve knowledge and apply it to benefit the team.
* Ability to identify areas for positive change and implement them.
* Passion for credit control and cash collection.
* Demonstrated credit control experience.
