This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global household business that owns many well-known brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
The role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend categories such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Develop strategies for procurement, including delivery and performance metrics, with a focus on annual savings
* Create group-wide category plans to ensure alignment across the organization, leveraging supplier relationships
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Directors and Board members, using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and feedback
* Model procurement best practices, uphold company values, and promote procurement excellence
* Oversee strategic projects and ensure optimal service delivery in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing complex international projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across diverse cultures and countries
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
