This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.You will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare accounts, and provide guidance to junior team members, while ensuring the highest standards of client service and technical accuracy.Key responsibilities as senior accountant:
* Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
* Review work prepared by junior staff and provide constructive feedback.
* Handle client queries and maintain strong client relationships.
* Prepare corporation tax computations and assist with tax planning.
* Support audit assignments when required.
* Ensure work is completed in accordance with deadlines and regulatory standards.
* Identify opportunities for additional client support or services.
The successful senior accountant must possess the following:
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with relevant practice experience.
* Solid understanding of accounting standards and tax compliance.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
