Accreditation Assessment Manager Location: Hybrid/remote with occasional York office attendance, YO10 5DG Salary: £43,078 per annum Contract: Full Time, Permanent (35 hours) Benefits: A generous pension plan with USS/New Ireland Assurance Enhanced family leave benefits 30 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays Flexible working hours Remote/Hybrid work The Role: As our Accreditation Assessment Manager, your focus will be on developing an effective and efficient global accreditation service, supporting institutions applying for accreditation, taking part in the peer-review accreditation process and providing high quality written feedback for institutions. You'll also be contributing to our network events and working with our team to deliver resources that support the needs of our member institutions in developing their future workforce and promoting the strategic value and impact of our work. As our Accreditation Assessment Manager you will be responsible for: Service Development and Delivery Develop and implement accreditation assessment processes, ensuring these provide strategic value add to Advance HE member institutions and operate in line with policy and process. Work closely with Panel Chairs and Accreditation Reviewers, supporting their on-boarding, training and success in role. This will include managing a global network of Panel Chairs and Accreditation Reviewers and supporting recruitment of Accreditation Reviewers globally. Lead preparatory work with Advance HE members, ensuring they get maximum strategic value from the accreditation process, with reference to their strategic education plan and operating goals. Lead and manage peer review of institutions' programmes for the development of staff that teach and/or support learning, ensuring high quality panel outcomes and customer experiences. This will include working with member institutions, management of Panels and authoring of Panel feedback. Develop and maintain policies, criteria and the accreditation process in response to the external policy context and to support members in the development of their staff to deliver educational excellence fit for the students and higher education of the future. Business Development Interpret and provide advice on sector trends and the needs of members, introducing changes to the service to ensure it plays a key role in institutions' commitments to educational excellence and workforce development. Develop effective working relationships with global accreditation partners, ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources and that parties commit to and deliver on key commitments. In order to be successful in this role you must have / be: Essential: Experience of working in the higher education sector Experience of re-designing and improving quality assurance and/or accreditation/validation processes Experience in streamlining processes to deliver improved efficiency and effectivenes Experience in working with and successfully influencing senior stakeholders, including on sensitive and/or reputational matters Experience in advising and guiding senior staff within an organisation- helping them to get the best from a process Experience in authoring clear written work for a senior audience Experience in building and maintaining confidence in client relationships Experience in working with reviewers or associates, ensuring a strong understanding of role requirements Experience in delivering role related training Advance HE is a member-led, sector-owned charity that works with institutions and higher education across the world to improve higher education for staff, students and society.
