An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Stock Control to join a well-established, market-leading business operating within a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
This is a key leadership role within the supply chain function, responsible for driving effective inventory management, improving availability, and optimising stock investment across a multi-site operation.
The Role
Reporting into senior supply chain leadership, you will take ownership of the stock planning function, leading a team and implementing strategies to enhance performance and support wider business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and developing a stock planning team
2. Delivering effective inventory and stock control strategies
3. Using data and forecasting to support decision-making
4. Driving improvements in supplier performance and stock flow
5. Reducing slow-moving and obsolete stock
6. Improving processes, reporting, and ways of working
7. Building strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
About You
8. Proven background in stock control, inventory planning, or supply chain
9. Experience leading teams within a fast-paced environment
10. Strong analytical capability (Excel and/or similar tools)
11. Commercially minded, with a focus on balancing cost and service
12. Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
13. Continuous improvement mindset
