Consultant Community Paediatrician (two posts)
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting two Consultant Community Paediatricians to support delivery of paediatric services across Warwickshire. The role will work in either North or South Warwickshire, offering flexible and job‑share arrangements, with a focus on neurodevelopmental needs and Children in Care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consultant assessment, treatment and advice in general, chronic and complex paediatric conditions, child development, neuro‑disability, child protection and complex behavioural concerns.
* Lead and participate in teaching, training and supervision of undergraduates, post‑graduates and multidisciplinary teams.
* Contribute to service and service‑development, including clinical pathways and service improvement.
* Provide cover for consultant colleagues as per Trust arrangements.
* Engage in research and development activities of the Department.
* Support flexible working arrangements and cross‑cover for colleagues.
Clinical Duties
* Run paediatric clinics for children with neurodevelopmental needs and Children in Care, following local templates.
* Special School Clinic: assess and manage referrals from school nurses and teachers.
* Accept and manage referrals from a wide range of resources including hospital and community health professionals.
