We have an opportunity for an Education Support Worker to join Sense College in Selly Oak.
This is a fixed-term, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time), ending in July 2026. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Your role is to prepare learners for transitions into adulthood, working closely with them to achieve outcomes outlined in their Education, Health, and Care Plans. You will work within the framework of Sense Values to:
* Keep the needs of the learners at the center of your attention at all times;
* Enable learners to influence their services and support;
* Help Sense provide a high-quality education experience;
* Support personal care needs as required.
The duties are varied, and no two days are the same. The individuals supported are treated as unique persons. You may support with personal care and help facilitate participation in activities that promote health and wellbeing.

Your required skills and experiences;
* Experience working with individuals with sensory impairments, autism, or learning disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of BSL, Makaton, or other communication methods is also beneficial, with training provided.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and experience with person-centered planning, record keeping, and personal care are essential.
* Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths is required.
