Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated mental health nurses, consultant psychiatrists, therapy assistants, therapists and psychologists to deliver high-quality evidence-based care and improve the long term outcomes of our patients.
* Provide occupational therapy to inpatients on the acute inpatient wards, on a group and individual basis.
* At least two dedicated days working within our national specialist obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) service.
* Support with the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualised treatment plans, particularly in activities of daily living (ADL) assessments.
* Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning.
* Offer guidance and mentorship to Therapy Assistants to ensure the delivery of consistent and effective patient care.
* At least two dedicated days working within our national specialist obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) service.
* Involvement in MDT and ward round discussions and meetings.

Job responsibilities
Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time 37.5-hour role a week.
Person Specification
Requirements
* The successful candidate will hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and be currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will have proven experience in a clinical occupational therapy role.
* Ideally within the NHS or a comparable healthcare environment. A strong understanding of behavioural health, particularly relating to adult patient groups, is essential.
