Accounts Assistant | Aerospace & Engineering Sector | £25,000–£28,000 | Bedford

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Accounts Assistant to join a highly respected and dynamic engineering organisation in Bedfordshire.This business is a leading engineering business, working in conjunction with major global businesses. With internal progression at the heart of their culture, this role has become available due to a well-earned promotion within the finance team.The Role: As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be supporting a broad range of financial and administrative tasks in a busy finance department. Responsibilities include:
* Processing accounts payable transactions, including invoices and payment runs
* Supplier statement reconciliations using SAP
* Managing company Barclaycard expense processes
* Assisting with prepayments, accruals, revaluations and other month-end activities
* Supporting bank transaction processing
* Collaborating with procurement and commercial teams on aged creditors and debtors
* Assisting with audit preparation and wider finance tasks as needed
About You:
* Actively studying AAT (study support available)
* Strong organisational skills and a hands-on approach
* Confident working both independently and as part of a team
* Motivated, eager to learn, and able to manage a varied workload
* Basic Excel knowledge — training will be provided
