About The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to join our dynamic training team at our Tipton Training Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to lead engaging training courses and make a real impact in the field of electricity distribution!
You will report to the Technical Training Delivery Manager and take the lead in delivering high-quality Fitting training courses. Your responsibilities will extend beyond teaching; you will collaborate on the design and development of innovative training programmes that incorporate interactive blended learning solutions.
What You'll Do
* Deliver engaging training in both classroom and workshop environments.
* Utilize your experience to design and develop technical and safety training that meets customer requirements.
* Support the maintenance of training products, ensuring compliance with internal quality assurance processes.
* Collaborate with technical experts and relevant departments to ensure training meets necessary standards.
* Stay updated on the latest technical and safety bulletins to enhance safety training.
* Review lesson plans and presentations to ensure high-quality delivery.
* Conduct observations to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
* Maintain training centre facilities and equipment, ensuring everything is in top condition.
* Conduct safety walks for areas of responsibility.
* Assess individuals performing practical activities to ensure they meet qualification standards.
* Work with the Design and Innovation Team to drive improvements and develop new training products.
* Uphold Health & Safety and Safeguarding responsibilities for learners.
* Complete accurate course reports and assessments documentation.
About You
* Recognised Level 3 Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent Electrical Engineering Qualification (ONC/HNC).
* Extensive experience in maintaining Distribution plant and equipment, Power network or Substations.
* Strong understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and associated policies.
* Excellent communication, time management, and planning skills.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint.
* Experience in managing teams or work activities is desirable.
* Previous training experience or knowledge of coaching others is a plus.
* Familiarity with Safeguarding or working with young adults is desirable, but training will be provided.
* NEBOSH certificate/diploma or equivalent safety qualifications is advantageous.
This role is offered on a permanent basis and is based in Tipton, West Midlands, with some travel required.
