JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a great company in Elland as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will join a friendly, hard working team and gain valuable experience in a whole range of finance duties. Key duties will include:
* Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts pack
* Accruals, Prepayments, journals etc.
* Work in close contact with the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger/Credit Control team to ensure accurate transaction processing
* Bank reconciliations
* Constantly look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiencies
* Alongside the Finance Manager, liaise with external stakeholders including auditors etc.
* Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required
Applicants will be enthusiastic, eager to learn and enjoy a busy a varied workload. Recent experience in a similar position is required, as is a good level of Microsoft Excel skills and a working knowledge of Sage would be advantageous.
