This specialist primary school in Neasden, Brent supports pupils aged 4-11 with Autism and associated communication needs. The school offers small class sizes of around 8 pupils, a highly structured learning environment and excellent support from teachers, therapists and specialist staff.
This Mental Health Worker role would suit an aspiring Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist or SEND professional looking to build meaningful experience before further training.
What the role offers:
* Full training provided, so previous school experience is not essential
* Work closely with on-site Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists
* Support pupils with Autism, communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
* Small classes of around 8 pupils, allowing for personalised support
* Valuable experience with EHCPs, specialist interventions and therapeutic approaches
* Long-term, full-time experience in a specialist SEND setting
* £85-£100 per day PAYE
The school currently has around 55 pupils on roll across seven classes, with all pupils having an EHCP. Pupils are supported through carefully planned learning pathways and the school reports strong progress from individual starting points.
