As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Senior MEICA Engineer to join our Water & Environment team.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior MEICA Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in designing, delivering, and commissioning complex water infrastructure systems. You’ll work across a broad range of client frameworks, contributing technical expertise and supporting junior engineers along the way.
You’ll benefit from the flexibility of secondment while enjoying the security and support of permanent employment with Waterman Aspen.
In this role, you can expect to:
* Deliver designs for rising mains, pumping stations, and mechanical/electrical systems
* Specify and select equipment including pumps, blowers, dosing plant, and screening systems
* Undertake sump and pipework design for various installations
* Lead commissioning of complex pumping systems
* Prepare reference designs, detailed designs, reports, specifications, and proposals
* Ensure compliance with WIMES, DSEAR/ATEX, CDM 2015, and relevant H&S regulations
* Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and design teams
* Mentor and support junior team members
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Proven experience delivering MEICA projects in the water or related industries
* Sound understanding of UK design standards and working practices
* Strong working knowledge of OFWAT, WIMES, and Sewers for Adoption
* Experience with pump system control philosophies and equipment commissioning
* CDM and DSEAR/ATEX compliance knowledge
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and manage teams/projects
Desirable:
* Chartered Engineer (or working towards it)
* 10+ years of industry experience
* Previous experience working with UK water companies
