That is on offer with our opportunity, where you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic outreach and engagement with key stakeholders, decision-makers and industry influencers on behalf of the precast concrete and masonry sectors.
Your sector expertise will support technical and marketing activities across both the Precast and Masonry product groups, working closely with our internal teams to deliver technical support, guidance and projects that deliver sector priorities.
A central part of the role is to shape and influence industry codes, standards and regulatory frameworks, contributing to the development of technical and sustainability guidance that underpins the specification of precast concrete and masonry products. This includes representing the sector on national and European committees responsible for reviewing, developing and maintaining standards and regulation.
You will:
* Contribute to developing best practice guidance related to the use of Precast concrete & masonry products in housing, buildings and infrastructure.
* Lead outreach and engagement with key stakeholders, influencers, regulators and specifiers on behalf of the concrete and masonry sectors.
* Build strong relationships with member companies to understand priorities, provide support and ensure effective two-way communication.
* Provide technical and marketing support for a range of internal teams and colleagues, plus manage a portfolio of committees and projects as the lead contact for specific technical matters including conformity and performance.
That is just a few topics for a start! This role reports directly to our Director who covers this technical area, but will provide some support to all our Association product groups on common technical issues.
What are we looking for in you?
* Substantial technical workplace knowledge of design, manufacture and construction of precast cast concrete and masonry in the UK.
* Understanding of standards and regulations governing Precast Concrete and Masonry products in the UK and beyond.
* Previous experience of industry committees and/or the development of standards and consensus across multi-disciplined contributors, together with the ability to research emerging and new technology or technical areas.
* The confidence and credibility to be able to represent the precast & masonry sector at a senior level to industry and on national/international committees.
* An enthusiastic and motivated self-starter, who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a small but highly effective and agile team as well as work closely with our Member companies, central/devolved government departments and the regulatory agencies.
