Job summary
About the Role Location: The Blue Sky SARC, Nuneaton Salary: Retainer rates – £30.56 (per 8 hour shift) from 09:00 Monday through to 08:59 Saturday and £40.24 from 09:00 Saturday through to 08:59 Monday. Attendance payment is £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case. Shift Patterns: Out of hours weekday evenings and weekends days and nights.
Key Responsibilities
* 1st point of contact for service users.
* Support the process of an service user and their family visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collecting of forensic evidence.
* Ensure that a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
* Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service‑user pathway.
* Assist with preparation, service‑user support and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
* Be a key player within the SARC team and wider company network.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* IT skills and basic administration.
* Experience working in a supportive or customer‑focused environment.
* Kind, caring nature.
* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
* Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
* UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across SARC locations.
* Advanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting will be required.
