Opportunity as Senior Development Technologist for a creative foodie keen to see their concepts on the supermarket shelves.
As Senior Development Technologist, you’ll help create delicious and innovative new concepts for major retail customers. This will involve trends research and benchmarking to identify opportunities. You’ll work closely with the development chef to deliver outstanding new recipes and be involved with ingredient sourcing, packaging, costings and nutritionals for these.
You’ll be customer-facing, delivering inspiring product presentations. You’ll ensure all projects follow the stage and gate process and work closely with the process team seeing concepts through to successful launch. Once launched, you’ll work with your commercial colleagues to review the commercial success of new products.
You’ll be joining a site that has recently introduced new product lines and has invested in further growth. They supply into the leading UK retailers with long-standing strategic partnerships in place. This role reports into a highly experienced and supportive NPD Manager who will ensure you have a clear career development path.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a proven track record in NPD, a passion for food and understanding of the product launch process for retailers. It’s a full-time permanent role based at site, working Mon-Fri days. You’ll need the permanent right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship isn’t available for this role.
