Female Support Worker – Mental Health Service (South Manchester, M22)

Shifts: Day Shifts (09:00–22:00) | Waking Nights (22:00–08:00) | Occasional Sleep-ins
Key Health are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker to join a well-established women’s mental health service in South Manchester (M22). This is a temporary assignment for a minimum of 4–6 weeks, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women with enduring mental health needs.
🧠 About the Service:
The service supports women aged from their mid-30s to early 70s, all of whom are living with long-term mental health conditions. Support is person-centred and focused on encouraging independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
💼 Key Responsibilities:

Providing personal care where required
*
Supporting with daily living tasks such as shopping, cooking, and managing finances
*
Encouraging participation in activities and appointments
*
Offering emotional support, especially during periods of mental health difficulties
*
Working closely with other staff and professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
✅ Requirements:
*
Minimum 1 year of UK experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia and personal care
*
Willingness to assist with medication administration (on-site Shift Coordinator available for support)
*
Proof of right to work in the UK (please note: we do not offer sponsorship)
*
Two references, including one from your current or most recent employer
*
Full manual driving licence and access to a car (desirable)
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (desirable)
Relevant training (e.g. schizophrenia awareness) can be completed post-start if needed.
