Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking 4 Maintenance Engineers to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business in Ellesmere Port. The role is 4 on 4 off shifts. We seek an engineer who is Electrically biased, holds their 18th Edition, Level 3 or Level 4 Engineering qualification (preferably HNC) in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Apprenticeship trained or time served.
Annual salary A GBP 54,000 : A GBP 58,000 per annum (DOE). Overtime opportunities available.
What You Will Do
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards, promoting a culture of zero harm and safe working practices.
* Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
* Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure maintenance and changeover tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, using tools and techniques such as 5S, TPM, and Kaizen to enhance processes and equipment performance.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure the proper segregation of waste from engineering activities.
What You Will Bring
* NVQ Level 4 / HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance, with a solid foundation in multi‑disciplined skills.
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities, with experience in PLC diagnostics and ladder logic.
* Proficiency in reading complex electrical and engineering drawings.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and implementing equipment improvements.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.

This role is based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
