Raytheon UK have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our teams in Gloucester, Manchester or London working fully onsite.

You'll be part of our experienced software dev function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas.

Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to currently hold eDV clearance.

In this area of the business we prove DevSecOps at scale, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence capabilities to support the defence, intelligence and cyber sectors. Collaborating with customers and suppliers to deliver secure, mission critical systems using the latest technologies and innovations.

Responsibilities

1. Apply test skills and experience within the context of an Agile software delivery team
2. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of automated test frameworks
3. Define and manage test environments; create and manage test data; define and manage test tools
4. Support test team interactions with the wider development team and assist in the resolution of issues
5. Contribute to the production of test documents using appropriate tools as required
6. Raise defects and support the wider development team in their resolution
7. Manage creation of automated and manual test scripts
8. Produce test and deployment strategies and plans in compliance with customer project guidelines

Required Skills and Experience

9. Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps delivery model
10. Experience of deploying and configuring complex software under Linux/Windows
11. Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and demonstrable evidence of relevant test methodologies and toolsets
12. Experience producing test plans and reports using applicable tools

Desirable

13. Experience of test automation frameworks and tools.
14. Experience of scripting languages and scripting for automation.
15. AWS and/or Azure
16. Continuous Integration
17. Linux system administration
18. Ability to review and apply different tools and techniques e.g. monitoring, logging, performance testing
