Insight Employment is seeking a Welder Fabricator for a client in Bedford. Are you looking for your next opportunity?
The Role:

You must be able to follow fabrication drawings and instructions, and communicate proactively if you identify any mistakes or conflicts in drawings or your work. Any structural issues or material discrepancies should be reported promptly. The company values your expertise and constructive feedback to help improve their products and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Read, interpret, and follow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other instructions to accurately produce equipment and products.
2. Preferably, have ARC, MIG, and TIG experience in aluminium and steel.
3. Utilize handheld tools such as screw guns, drills, and grinders.
4. Operate measurement and welding gauges accurately.
5. Maintain weld machines through preventative maintenance and evaluate their performance for efficiency improvements.
6. Manage inventory of manufacturing materials and consumables.
7. Create weldment setups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements.
8. Perform quality checks to ensure standards are met, and document any defects for rework or repair.
9. Adhere to safety procedures and quality standards in all tasks.
10. Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management.
11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
12. Collaborate with workshop staff to meet production deadlines.
13. Uphold the company's core values and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
* Strong problem-solving skills using reasoning and thinking.
* High attention to detail and self-motivation.
* Technical or vocational training or certification.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment with respect for colleagues.

Shift/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Rates:
£16.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime is available.
