As we continue to grow globally, we’re looking for a visionary Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead our digital transformation.
The CDO will be responsible for shaping and executing a bold digital strategy that drives customer acquisition, engagement, and loyalty across all markets. This role will unify technology, brand building, performance marketing, digital product development, and customer experience under a cohesive vision that accelerates growth and elevates the Ooni brand.
This is a newly created role in an environment embracing change, and represents an opportunity for a brilliant candidate to shape what comes next for Ooni. You’ll have the freedom to redefine how our teams deliver, set the pace, and experiment with new ways of working to make bold ideas happen.
What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership
* Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with Ooni’s business goals, integrating D2C and wholesale objectives.
* Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO and contributing to cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
* Identify and capitalize on new digital revenue streams and market opportunities.
Customer Experience & Engagement
* Own the end‑to‑end digital customer journey - from brand discovery to purchase and post‑sale support.
* Enhance customer experience through data‑driven personalization, UI/UX design, and seamless digital touchpoints.
* Lead the development of Ooni’s digital platforms including website, mobile apps, and e‑commerce infrastructure.
Marketing & Brand Growth
* Drive performance marketing, digital engagement, and retention strategies to deepen customer loyalty and expand brand reach.
* Benchmark and track ROI of digital initiatives to ensure commercial impact.
Technology & Innovation
* Oversee software and product management functions, ensuring high‑quality technological integrations across the organization.
* Develop and own Ooni’s AI strategy, including frameworks for Ethical AI and Data Governance.
* Advise on emerging technologies and their potential to create opportunity, efficiency, or risk.
* Manage and elevate the entire tech stack of the company from infrastructure, to apps, connectivity and security to end‑point systems.
* Collaborate with the COO and Product team to develop our app‑connected products as part of Ooni’s roadmap.
* Build and lead a high‑performing digital team, leveraging both in‑house talent and strategic partners.
* Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure robust data privacy and protection practices across the business.
* Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) if required.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Proven experience in a senior digital, marketing, or customer leadership role (e.g., CDO, CMO, CCO), ideally within a digitally enabled consumer products brand.
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a track record of translating insights into business growth.
* Inspirational leadership style with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative, hands‑on approach.
* Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
* Deep understanding of digital platforms, data analytics, and customer‑centric design.
