The Role
At Cabrini’s state-of-the-art 16-bed ICU, you’ll provide expert care for critically ill patients, including those recovering from cardiac and major surgery, respiratory failure, neurological conditions, sepsis, renal failure, and multi-organ failure. You’ll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team that prioritizes exceptional patient care and clinical excellence.
Key responsibilities:
As a Critical Care Nurse at Cabrini Malvern, you’ll play a vital role in providing expert, compassionate care to critically ill patients in our state-of-the-art 16-bed ICU. Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate to deliver the best possible patient outcomes, ensuring everyone receives the highest standard of clinical care and safety.
Beyond patient care, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor and support junior team members, sharing your expertise to help develop the next generation of critical care professionals. Your ability to provide clear, empathetic communication will be key in building trust with patients, families, and colleagues—ensuring a seamless and supportive healthcare experience.
About you
Along with your commitment to quality patient care and outcomes, you will have the following:
6. Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
7. Relevant nursing qualifications, as well as Critical Care certificate (in Intensive Care Nursing) - essential
8. Victorian Working with Children Check
9. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
11. A team player with strong communication and leadership skills
12. Passion for providing exceptional, patient-centered care
