The Role
As a Town Planner, you’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering planning consultancy services to a wide range of clients. You’ll be involved in the preparation of planning applications, site appraisals, research, and planning policy analysis, contributing to a broad spectrum of projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
* Undertake site appraisals and research local planning policies
* Prepare planning statements and design and access statements
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
* Provide advice and support to senior planners on complex projects
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Town Planner with a solid understanding of the UK planning system and a genuine passion for planning and development. You’ll have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
Requirements
* Degree and / or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
* MRTPI-qualified or working towards Chartership
* Around 1-3 years of experience in planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good understanding of UK planning legislation and policy
* Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
* A positive, team oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
