TekAlloy is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering and aerospace manufacturer specialising in high-performance aerofoil and rotative components. The business is at the forefront of machining technology, delivering efficiency, precision, and reduced cycle times for global clients. With advanced milling, turning, and 5-axis capability, they produce components including rings, casings, gearboxes, and aerostructures for customers such as Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, and Bombardier.
The Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will support the company's Business Management System (BMS) to ensure full compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements. You'll play a key role in maintaining high levels of quality assurance and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and maintain the Business Management System (BMS) through internal and external audits.
* Monitor and drive closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
* Ensure all customer specifications and documentation are maintained to the correct issue status.
* Manage and implement process changes within the BMS.
* Monitor compliance with AS9100/ISO9001, AS13100, and SABRe standards.
* Report on key performance indicators and quality metrics weekly and monthly.
* Interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications to internal and customer standards.
* Conduct and facilitate risk management activities, including FMEA reviews.
* Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments.
* Enforce quality disciplines and ensure awareness of customer requirements throughout the business.
* Generate and communicate quality statistics, reports, and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain safe working practices and support environmental and sustainability initiatives.
The Person:
* Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role.
* Qualified Internal Auditor (minimum ISO 9001).
* Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (AS9100 / AS13100 / SABRe preferred).
* Confident interpreting complex engineering drawings.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and workload effectively.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
