We have a fabulous opportunity for a Head Chef to be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations at the American Museum and Gardens, in Bath.
We have a bustling café for our guests, and youll also help us build the hospitality, events and weddings side of the business.
This role involves menu planning, inventory management, cost control, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food service. Time management is a key factor with this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly upheld through rigorous quality control procedures.
- Maintain high food quality and presentation standards to meet customer expectations.
- Continuously create and refine the menu offerings.
- Oversee stock levels, order ingredients, and minimize food wastage.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.
- Great time management skills.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Ability to train and mentor other staff.
- Experience in ordering stock and stock control.
