Neighbourhood Networker – Sutton Coldfield
£14,644 – £16,641 per annum
Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2027, Part Time (21 hours per week). Interview date: 7th November.
The Birmingham Neighbourhood Network Scheme aims to enable people to lead healthy, happy, independent lives within their own homes and communities. This is achieved through identifying, supporting and developing the community offer provided by groups and organisations within the constituency.
Responsibilities
* Engage and support community groups and organisations to sustain and build their current capacity and offer to older and vulnerable people in Sutton.
* Ensure citizens can access community-based support, improving their well-being and quality of life.
* Build relationships with the local social work team and other key stakeholders in Sutton to identify gaps in the community offer and provision for older and vulnerable people.
* Help support the development of new ideas and ways of supporting citizens and contribute to the development of a citywide model for Neighbourhood Network Schemes in Birmingham.
* Lead community engagement through events and workshops, organising and coordinating community activities.
* Work from the Castle Vale office and travel within the wider Sutton area.
Location
Based from the Castle Vale office, with duties requiring travel throughout Sutton.
