Woodfield Academy joined the Bordesley MAT from Easter 2022. We work closely with Trinity High School, Birchensale Middle School and Holyoakes First School in a localised MAT focusing on the development of children in Redditch. Working together as part of the three-tier system we aspire to improve the educational offer for the local community. Woodfield Academy sits at the heart of Redditch. The facilities include two Science labs, a designated technology block with cooking and resistant materials equipment, a library, a gym, a main hall with staging for performances, 2 ICT suites and a full-size astro-turf. The Governors and Headteacher are looking to appoint a forward thinking teacher who has up to date knowledge of the latest strategies to improve progress for all pupils in STEM.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver high-quality STEM lessons for Key Stage 2 and 3.
* Collaborate with Science, Maths and Computing leaders to place STEM at the forefront of the Academy’s offer.
* Develop engaging, cross-curricular lesson plans and resources.
* Contribute to school improvement and share best practices with colleagues.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) required.
* Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of STEM subjects.
* Ability to create engaging lesson plans that integrate cross-curricular topics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
