Why This Role Matters
As a Transport Business Partner, you’ll be at the heart of our driver training and safety strategy. You’ll ensure our teams have the skills, confidence, and knowledge to deliver excellence every day. This isn’t just a training role it’s about influencing culture, improving standards, and helping us stay ahead in a fast-moving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Management: Work closely with management teams across multiple sites to identify training needs and establish annual training plans.
2. Champion Safety Initiatives: Lead and drive safety initiatives to create a safer work environment.
3. Driver Training Expert: Provide comprehensive driver training, including the mandatory Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.
4. Specialist Training Developer: Create and deliver Task-Specific Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and other specialist training modules.
5. Group Induction Leader: Conduct the Group Induction for all new employees, ensuring they have a thorough introduction to our company’s standards and expectations.
6. Quality Standards Trainer: Deliver BRC Quality Standards training to maintain our high-quality benchmarks.
7. Incident Investigator: Lead or assist in incident investigations, performing root cause analyses to inform preventative measures.
8. Authorised Site Specialist Trainer: Train ‘Authorised Site Specialists’ in areas such as LST and Assessor training.
9. Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to ensure training aligns with client expectations and addresses specific needs.
Requirements:
10. Driving Experience: Minimum of 3 years driving at Category C+E (LGV) with a clean record (no more than 3 penalty points).
11. Training Expertise: Demonstrable experience in a training or assessing role.
12. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of LGV regulations and compliance standards.
13. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
14. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and travel as required across sites.
