Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on bill of materials and engineering specifications; liaise with design engineers on alternatives.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budgets and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors to ensure correct revisions for fabrication or assembly.
5. Visit subcontractors to coordinate and review production.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and perform quality checks prior to handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and issues resolved before products leave for site.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, logistics, safety documentation, lifting, and client handover.
9. Manage project schedules, documentation, and communication with clients and project stakeholders.
10. Handle contract management tasks, including response to compensation events and early warning notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification and experience in a related discipline.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project involvement experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
