Secondary Science Specialist (Physics)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 (full time equivalent) DOE. Hybrid role based in Halifax & Leeds. Two days per week in the office with flexible working options.

Responsibilities
- Support and advise secondary schools in implementing the White Rose Science curriculum.
- Contribute to the creation and production of high‑quality materials that support the curriculum.
- Assist schools by providing specialist guidance, coaching, mentoring, target setting, observations, learning walks and audits.
- Role‑model outstanding teaching and learning practices.
- Monitor and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of education policy, research and relevant initiatives.
- Support the development of science across the Trust and other client schools.
- Participate in performance management reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold QTS and have passed ECT.
- Educated to degree level.
- Strong track record of recent, relevant professional development.
- Evidence of effective teaching and performance within a science specialism.
- Experience supporting schools or similar settings.
Desirable
- Specialism in physics or biology.
- Experience of taking accountability for the success of an initiative.
- Experience of further study.
- Experience of subject leadership in a teaching environment.
- Experience creating resources with various software packages (e.g. spreadsheet and presentation software).
- Experience of educational research.

Location & Working patterns
Hybrid – Two days per week in the offices in Halifax (HX2) and Leeds (LS11), with flexible working and protected days to aid team collaboration.
