Image on Food Ltd are one of the leading gingerbread manufacturers in the UK through our brands Original Biscuit Bakers and Billingtons Gingerbread. Are you artistic, detail-oriented, and love working with baked goods? We are looking for a Biscuit Decorator to join our team and bring our biscuits to life with beautiful designs and decorations The ideal candidate will have a passion for food presentation and an eye for detail, ensuring that all our creations are visually appealing and meet our high standards.
Hours/Salary
* Monday to Friday working 8:30am to 5pm
* Salary starting from £12.50 per hour (this has the potential to increase to £13.80 once fully trained and meeting targets)
Responsibilities
* Hand decorate biscuits with icing using piping to create stunning designs.
* Assist in the sugar pasting process - feeding sugar paste through a machine and applying shaped icing to biscuits.
* Assisting with the decorating robot as and when required.
* Ensuring all biscuits meet high quality and aesthetic standards.
* Ensure all decorations adhere to food safety standards and regulations.
* Prepare various ingredients and materials needed for decoration, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
* Maintain inventory of decorating supplies and communicate needs to management.
Skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a creative flair.
* Experience in biscuit/cake decorating, icing or pastry work (preferred but not essential as training provided)
* Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Steady hands and patience for intricate designs
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
* A passion for baking and decorating
