Project Manager – Bridge Construction\n\nLocation: Gloucester \n Contract Type: Permanent or Contracted\n Salary: up to £75,000 - £85,000 + Accommodation (for the right candidate)\n\nDay Rate: £400-£500 per day\n\nAbout the Role\n We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-profile bridge construction project. This is a hands-on site-based role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise in formwork and temporary works, and a commitment to safety and quality.\n\nKey Requirements\n\nProven experience in bridge construction (preferred).\nStrong background in formwork and temporary works.\nExcellent site management and leadership skills.\nFamiliarity with RAMS, ITPs, and temporary works coordination.\nAbility to manage client interface, progress reporting, and commercial awareness.\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive rates of pay/salary.\nAccommodation provided for the right candidate.\nOpportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure project.\nSupportive team environment with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSite Establishment & Mobilisation\n\nCoordinate initial site setup, H&S signage, welfare facilities, PPE compliance, and site rules.\nTeam Deployment & Oversight\n\nAppoint and manage site personnel, ensuring alignment with project scope and programme.\nHealth & Safety Management\n\nLead inductions, RAMS briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce safe systems of work.\nCompliance & Execution\n\nEnsure operatives follow approved RAMS and use certified tools and PPE.\nRoutine Inspections & Reporting\n\nConduct weekly inspections (plant, lifting gear, scaffolding) and submit reports.\nQuality Assurance\n\nMaintain QA documentation, complete pre/post-pour checklists, and ensure ITP compliance.\nMaterial Procurement & Logistics\n\nManage requisitions and coordinate deliveries to avoid delays.\nTemporary Works Coordination\n\nDevelop TW design briefs, liaise with designers (e.g., PERI), and supervise installations.\nLifting Operations Oversight\n\nSubmit lift plans, ensure certified equipment and competent personnel are in place.\nProgramme & Planning\n\nReview construction programme, adjust resources, and produce progress updates.\nClient Interface\n\nAct as primary site contact, attend meetings, and issue progress reports.\nCommercial Awareness\n\nTrack labour/equipment usage, notify QS of variations, and manage CVIs.\nIncident Reporting & Improvement\n\nReport near misses/NCRs, support root cause analysis, and drive QHSE improvements.\n\nInteraction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
